That time Apple pranked me
A good prank can go on forever.
Like the diagnostics the Apple technician was running on my external trackpad.
So we started chatting. Perhaps about mouse buttons, because somehow I mentioned I’m a lefty. And the Apple technician told a story about their lefty friend.
They had this bizarre tool I’d never seen before, and I went, “what is that??” They told me, a left-handed screwdriver! I had to look it up when I got home.
“Huh, I suppose I’ll have to do the same!” And I did.
If you know where this is going, keep quiet. If you don’t, you may now open a new tab and come back.
There’s no such thing.
It’s a prank you play on the new kid, like “ask Alice where to find the elbow grease.” Or the “headlight fluid”. And hopefully Alice continues with “not sure, but maybe Bob knows.” The less the new kid accomplishes on their first day, the funnier!
Anyway, they replaced my trackpad, and yes, it was a left-handed one.
